As a teenager, I was lucky to experience the significant difference chiropractic care makes to people’s lives first hand.
This sparked a passion in me to combine knowledge and service to improve the health and lives of others.
I studied for my Masters Degree close to my hometown at the University of South Wales before moving across the bridge to work in Bristol for one of the largest Chiropractic companies in Europe.
During my time in Bristol, I was honoured to be awarded Associate Chiropractor of the Year as well as being lucky enough to help hundreds of people ranging from those in wheelchairs and using walking aids, to competitive strong men and triathletes, to my oldest patient of 92, to my youngest patient of 7 days old.
I am a registered member of both the General Chiropractic Association and the United Chiropractic Association. I regularly attend seminars and conferences in the UK, Europe and have worked pro-bono in India to improve my skills and knowledge to better help the people I’m lucky enough to serve.
I still get amazed by the incredible effects a skilled chiropractic adjustment can have, and I’m really excited to share the life-changing effects with you!
After experiencing loss and illness of loved ones at a young age, as I got older, this grew into frustration as to why traditional methods and medicine didn’t have the answers to help them, but also interest and motivation into how I can be the healthiest I can be for as long as possible and do it naturally.
I initially went to a chiropractor for some back pain and leg pain which was affecting my work as a nursery nurse and after attending a health talk at my then chiropractors, I was hooked. I had no idea what chiropractic was before this day but left full of excitement that I’d found something that was natural and could help the musculoskeletal system and the pain I had in mine, but also optimise the function of my nervous system, ultimately positively impacting my your overall health (amazing right?)
Since then (12 years ago) I have seen a chiropractor regularly as part of my healthy life style. It also sparked an interest in me to learn more about the body and health and since then I have studied kinesiology and I am currently studying therapeutic nutrition.
The more I learn the more I am amazed at how the body looks after us if it’s just given the right tools in terms of nutrition, movement and care. I can’t wait to share information with all of our members and get them excited about their health too. I’d love people to know the power of their bodies, and sure that sounds a little hippy to some people, but I’ve found something that I’m excited about and want to share it with my hometown of Plymouth. I hope you love the little space in our city by the sea we have created :) I’m looking forward to welcoming you all and meeting lots of you, helping you on your health and wellness journey :)
Jess will be there to help with all enquiries and to assist with any appointments.
